Funeral services for Mrs. Willica Thomas, 63, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Southside Drive. Officiating will be Rev. David Lane. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery.

     The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the funeral home.

     Mrs. Thomas was born May 27, 1946 in Ganada, TX to Robert and Frances Olsovsky. She passed away January 10, 2010 at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. She went to join the other angels after a lengthy illness. She loved life and was always ready to go. She was very encouraging, always saw the good in people and was loved by all that met her.

     Her love was her family. She was an unbelievable Grandmother, mother, and wife. She had strong faith. She was always very optimistic. Cooking was her hobby and she loved family meals. After raising her children, she opened Then & Now Antiques and Gifts, because she loved antiques. She was President of New Castle Daycare Inc. and Corporate Secretary of Hot Wheels Skating Palace, Inc.

     She is preceded in death by her mother, Frances Hubanek Olsovsky; father, Robert Olsovsky; brother, Bobby Olsovsky; and sisters, Lonnie Hollis and Mary Novak. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Tommy Thomas; foster parents, Fred and Joan Hood; son, Patrick Thomas and wife Danielle; daughter, Alisa Naron and husband Mark; grandchildren, Ian, Alex, and Olivia Naron and Peyton and Parker Thomas and sisters, Effie Simesck, Ilene Brown, Connie Madden, Patricia Nesselrole and Deanna Stringer.

     Pallbearers will be Charles Thomas, Monty Hollis, Chris Thomas, Tommy Davis, David Rushing, Fred Baxter and Steve Eddins.

     Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231.
