Funeral services for Steve and Mona Hensley will be held at 9:30 a.m., Friday, May 29, 2009 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside Drive. Officiating will be Reverend Gene Nix and Reverend Paul Carrol. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery, Shreveport, LA.

     The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009 at the funeral home.

     Steve was born December 28, 1955 in Boise, ID to Donald and Betty Hensley. Mona was born June 29, 1957 at Barksdale Air Force Base, LA to “Buddy” Bolton, Jr. and Marjorie Bolton Wood. They passed away Sunday, May 24, 2009 in Blanchard, LA due to a tragic accident.

     Steve worked at General Motors and Mona was a homemaker. Their home was always open to everyone, especially the love of their lives Hannah and Mason their grandchildren.

    Mona was preceded in death by her father, O.G. (Buddy) Bolton, Jr.; stepfather, John B. Wood; and Grandma Trant. Left to cherish their memories are her mother, Marjorie Wood; his parents, Betty and Don Hensley; their sons, Jonathan Hensley and wife Randi and Steve Hensley; grandchildren, Hannah and Mason Hensley; her sister, Linda Williams and husband Rob; his sister, Linda Kay Jones and husband Carl; her brother, Chip Bolton and wife Cathy; and his brother, Donnie Hensley and wife Kathy.

Honoring them as pallbearers will be Terry Brown, Roy Turner, Kyle Turner, Roy Stump, Kevin Young, Galen Coker, Zack Ratcliff, Jimmy Attaway, Buddy Babin, Earl Dodd, Joe Wildes, and Eric Childress 

     In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to the Percy Johnson Burn Foundation.

     Both Steve and Mona loved the Lord, their family and their friends. Their laughter and joy was contagious.
