Sr. Ann Mary Hancock

 SHREVEPORT, LA - Sr. Ann Mary Hancock passed away on August 27, 2008. Born October 2, 1940, in Many, Louisiana, and baptized as Daisy Alice Hancock. In 1958, she joined the Marion Society of Dominican Catechists; a Diocesan Religious Congregation founded by Bishop Charles P. Greco, and took as her religious name, Sr. Ann Mary. In 2000, Sr. Ann Mary made her perpetual profession as a Sister of Our Lady of Sorrows at the Mother House Chapel in Shreveport. Since then, she has remained at the Mother House. Sr. Ann Mary was a quiet, loving, and dedicated sister who was often found in the chapel praying for many intentions brought to her.Surviving are her brothers and sisters: John Declue, Joseph Declue, Martha Declue, Mary Fern Declue, many relatives, and her religious family of Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows.The funeral services will be held in the chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows Convent, 9894 Norris Ferry Road, Shreveport. The rosary will be held Friday, August 29, at 7:00 p.m. and the funeral mass will be Saturday, August 30 at 10:00 a.m. with Bishop Michael Duca, Msgr. C. Murray Clayton and Fr. David Richter officiating.
