Funeral services for Ronald David Johnson, 71, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2008 at Shreveport Community Church. Officiating will be Rev. Denny Duron. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery, in Waskom, TX. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 13, 2008 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Rose-Neath funeral home Southside.   

      Mr. Johnson was born on March 22, 1937 in Swink, CO to William and Lennie Mae Johnson. He passed away on November 12, 2008 in Shreveport, LA. He was a resident of Waskom, TX and was retired from Texaco as plant manager after 35 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.    

     Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Michael Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Doris Johnson; daughter, Kristy Johnson; granddaughter, Nikole Obar; sister, Lena Crakes; brothers, Tommy, Jerry and Lew Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews.
