Funeral services for Priscilla “Betty” Leola LaLena, 90, will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Reverend Trey Lewis. Interment will follow at Forest Park West.

     The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 25, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

     Betty was born July 1, 1918 in DeQueen, AR to John and Mary Karr. On August 23, 2008 she peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, surrounded by her loving family. She was retired from Sears after 30 years of service. She was a member of Kingston Road Baptist Church where she was active in the Friendship Sunday School class.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vincent J. LaLena, Sr.; son, Vincent J. LaLena, Jr.; one brother and four sisters. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Camille Fitzgerald and husband Cliff, Jeri Bennett Dupree and husband Mark and Jimmy LaLena; daughter-in-law, Fran Denney; sister, Sue Evans; nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

     Pallbearers will be Keith Bennett, Dusty LaLena, Bobby Fitzgerald, Chance Fitzgerald, Tyler LaLena, Nik LaLena, Jacob Brown and Travis Keiser.
