Funeral services celebrating the life of Patricia Ann Hooper, 65, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, February 1, 2010 at Rose-Neath’s Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Joe Bob Alexander.  Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood, LA. Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 a.m. until 7 :00 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2010 and from 10:00 a.m. until service on Monday at the funeral home.

    Patricia was born on May 15, 1944 to Russell and Doris Fitchett in Baltimore, MD. She passed away on January 27, 2010 in Shreveport. She was a former office manager for Dr. Steven Russell.

    This beautiful, kind and gentle woman was devoted to her Lord, family, friends and her work. Everyone she met enjoyed her joy in life, her smile and every enthusiasm.

    My beloved Pat, who succumbed to cancer, was a truly courageous and dignified soul, who enjoyed family and friends to the very last day of her life. Oh my darling how you will be missed. Take my heart and my love, which is eternal and without measure with you, in your journey to be with your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

    Preceding Patricia in death were her parents, and grandson, Jacob Allen White. She is survived by her husband, Frank John Hooper; daughters, Sidney E. White and Kimberly A. Remedies; grandchildren, Sarah N. White, Branden J. Remedies, Ryan T. Remedies, and Robert C. Remedies; great-grandchildren, Malana and Jeremy Young; brother, Russell A. Fitchett; sister, Madeline Wilson.

    Pallbearers will be Daniel McGuire, Jeff Remedies, Branden Remedies, Ryan Remedies, Robert Remedies and Jeremy Young.

    Of special note was her friendship with Dr. Steven Russell whom she worked for, for many years. Thank your Steve for all you’ve done and your continued friendship. Bless You.
