| SHREVEPORT, LA - Mrs. Isabella Russell passed away at her home on Saturday, August 17, 2008, after a brief illness. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. with a Vigil at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20th. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21st, at Sacred Heart Church. Officiating will be Rev. Thomas John, of Christus Schumpert and assisted by Deacon Clary Nash of Sacred Heart. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.Mrs. Bell was a native of Melville, LA and a resident of Shreveport for 100 years. She was a founding member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Shreveport and Co Founder of the Ladies’ Guild. She served her parish faithfully in many capacities. Mrs. Bell was a member of the first graduating class of Byrd High School in 1926 and attended Centenary College. She retired from the postal service. Family and friends were her life.Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her parents, Dempsey Kemp Morgan and Mary Helen Arris Morgan; a brother, Dempsey Kemp Morgan II, and a sister, Lillian Love; and her husband, Lawrence Conley Russell, died in 1961.
