Funeral services celebrating the life of Merle Grace Cotton, 91, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2010 at Rose-Neath’s Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Chaplain Al Van Dyke. Interment will follow in NW. LA Veterans Cemetery in Keithville. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the funeral home.

    Mrs. Cotton was born on October 27, 1918 in Yazoo City, MS to John and Alice Anderson. She passed away on February 2, 2010 in Shreveport. She was a member of Pinecroft Baptist Church.  Mrs. Cotton retired from El Chico’s Restaurant and worked for Shreveport Regional Airport.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, and beloved husband of 61 years, Jack Cotton. She is survived by daughter, Gayle Stacey and husband, Stan; sister, Louise Peck; granddaughter, Lindsey Reina and husband John; great-granddaughter, Shelbie Grace Reina; numerous nieces and nephews.
