Funeral services for Milton I. Philibert, 80, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Rose-Neath’s Southside Chapel.  Officiating will be Rev. Ronnie Mills.  Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors.  Visitation with the family will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2010, at the funeral home.

     Phil was born on October 9, 1929 in St. Louis, MO.  He passed away on February 6, 2010 in Shreveport, LA.  He was a member of the Grawood Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.  He was the retired owner and operator of the Phil’s Contruction Co.  Phil and Ruby enjoyed many great times with their family and friends on Toledo Bend where he enjoyed fishing and duck hunting.

     Phil was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Philibert.  Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Danny Ray Philibert and wife, Ivana, and Gary Wayne Philibert and wife, Peggy; daughter, Teri Philibert Nycum; grandchildren, Christi Philibert Wasson and husband, Aaron, Holly Philibert, and Brent Nycum and wife, Emily; and great-grandson, Noah Wasson and his faithful companion, Taco.

     Pallbearers will be Charlie Whifield, David Todd, Aaron Wasson, Randy Doss, Gerald Miller, and Pete Wetzel.

     The family would like to give a special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Heritage Manor South and Hospice Compassus for their care and compassion.
