Funeral services for Joanthan (Johnny) Wayne Vaughn, 42, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at Rose-Neath’s Southside Chapel.  Officiating will be Rev. Freddie Laiche.  Interment will follow in Forest Park West.  Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2010 at the funeral home.

     Johnny, devoted son, loving brother, went home to be with his heavenly Father and our Daddy on January 1, 2010.  He was born on April 7, 1967.  He graduated from Woodlawn High School.   

     Johnny was preceded in death by his father, James A. Vaughn; maternal grandparents, Alton and Bessie Kenly; paternal grandparents, Mr. Vaughn and Ollie Williamson; niece, Angela Lanette; and brother-in-law, John Edwards.  Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Flora E. Vaughn; brother, Bobby and wife, Linda; sisters, Gloria, Vickie and husband, Fred, Sherry and husband, Scott, and Cindy and husband, Al; and 9 nieces and nephews, 17 greatnieces and nephews, many friends, and his devoted companions, Orlando and Norma Jean.

     Pallbearers will be Michael Pilgreen, Sherry Huddleston, James Vaughn, Bobby Vaughn, Jr., Mathew Goff, and Cindy Plavny.

     Yea, though I walked through the Valley of the Shadow of Death, I will fear no evil.
