A memorial service honoring the life of John Bernard Graybiel, 78, will be held Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. August 20, 2008 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father James McLelland of St. Clement in Vivian, LA. Visitation with the family will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday August 19, 2008 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Southside.

    Mr. Graybiel was born on October 20, 1929 in Anderson, IN to Florence and John Graybiel, Sr. He passed away August 17, 2008. He was a resident of Shreveport, where he was a supervisor at AT&T before his retirement. He was a member of the Northwood Country Club, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.   John proudly served his country in the Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict.

    He was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 55 years, Phyllis Graybiel; sons, Jed B. Graybiel and Jay D. Graybiel; grandchildren, Matthew Graybiel and wife, Jen, Jenny Langlois and husband, Lucas and Beau Graybiel and wife Lisa; six great-grandchildren.

    Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of choice.
