John B. Crow, Sr.

    John B. Crow, Sr. died peacefully Tuesday, April 7, 2009 in the arms of his family.

    Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2009 at Rose-Neath’s Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Clarence Chism. Interment will follow in Lebanon Cemetery in Homer, LA.  A brief visitation with the family will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.

   John was born in Rodessa, LA to Fraser and Louella Crow on May 2, 1939. He was an insurance salesman before going to work for the U.S Postal Service, retiring after 32 years of service. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping until his health failed, then he spent time on his computer, watching TV and playing with his dogs, Sassy and LuLu and Molly. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. His grandchildren lovingly called him “Pap Paw”. 

    John’s parents, his brother and sister preceded him in death. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 49 years, Pat; son, John Jr. and wife, Terri and their children; daughter, Susan Goode and husband, Danny and their children; brother, Fraser “Bobby” Crow and wife, Virginia; sister, Barbara Bock; several nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs, Sassy and LuLu and Molly.

    Serving as Pallbearers will be Mac Weaver, Curtis Edwards, Doug Hill, Bob Zahn, Ronnie Culver, Mike Crow, Danny Goode, and Robin Vosbury. Honorary Pallbearers are J.B. Rich and Chuck Potter.

    The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to our wonderful Dr. Timothy Nichols and the Doctors and Nurses at W.K. North 3 west for their love and support.
