Services honoring the life of Jerald Douglas Yates, 64, will be held Saturday, June 20, 2009, 3:30 pm, at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel.  Officiating will be Reverend Donald L. Fuhrmann. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. The family will receive friends, Friday, June 19, 2009, 5:00-7:00 pm, at the funeral home.

            Jerald was born in Delhi, LA to the late Paul Douglas and Myrtle May Crosby Yates. He served his country well for 8 years in the US Air Force and retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller. Jerald was Baptist by faith and a loving husband, father and grandfather.

            He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Sheila Skinner Yates; daughters, Laura Y. Fuhrmann and husband, Gary, and Angela Y. McDonald and husband, David; brother, William L. Yates and wife, Gail; grandchildren, Michael and Amber Fuhrmann, Masson and Krystel Jones, Zackary, Kimberly, Karmen and Cody McDonald.

            Honoring him, as pallbearers will be Gary and Michael Fuhrmann, Masson and Krystel Jones, David McDonald and Ron Skinner.
