Graveside services honoring the life of J.D. Finch, 93, will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2009 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Keithville Cemetery. Officiating will be Reverend David Venable. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home, Tuesday June 16, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Mr. Finch was born in Betonia, MS, December 28, 1915 to Ned and Bessie Finch. He passed away on June 14, 2009 following a lengthy illness.
J.D. was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who loved the Lord. He will be missed by all who knew him. Mr. Finch was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Virgie M. Finch, and his brother, Henry M. Finch.
Left to cherish J.D.s memory are sons, Jim F. Finch and wife, Sue of Joaquin, TX, Steve W. Finch and wife, Jeanette of Keithville, LA, Ben R. Finch of Keithville, Ronnie L. Finch and wife, Sonya of Logansport, LA, James P. Finch and wife, Vickie of Shreveport; daughters, Ann Delores Pomplun and husband, Dick of Keithville, Ella Marney and husband, W.L. of Baton Rouge, LA and Connie Jean Peters; sister-in-law, Laura Finch and her daughters, Sue Morgan and Carolyn Langley, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and a host of extended family members.
