Funeral services for Helen Louise Atkinson, 74, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2009 at Rose-Neath’s Southside Chapel. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Officiating will be Bro. Harris. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday May 9th and May 10th.
Helen was born December 1, 1934 in Shreveport, LA to Henry and Lillie Tatum. She passed away May 7, 2009 in Shreveport, LA.
Helen was preceded in death by father, Henry Tatum; mother, Lillie Tatum; her siblings, Ruby Coston, Lonnie Tatum, Bud Tatum, Maudie Coonce,and Ruth O’Briant. Mrs. Atkinson is survived by children, Gail Ann Curry, Wanda Watson, Phil Arthur Wornat and wife, Cindy Wornat and Tammy Jo Wornat; grandchildren, Cory Ryan Stewart and wife, Candy, Christopher Rockwell Todd and wife Kim, Corinda Rene Acklen, Crystal Gail Stroud and husband Doug, Bryan Colt Todd, Steven Allen Wornat and Kimberly Gayle Wornat and great grandchildren, Jon Morgan Stewart, Casey Ryan Stewart, Jackson Todd, Audrey Todd, William Todd Stroud and Garrett Lane Stroud.
