Graveside services for Gladys Reeves, 92, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at Forest Park West Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Adam Beach. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7 :00 p.m., Monday, May 18, 2009 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Southside.

    Gladys was born on November 27, 1916, to Willie and Ethel Beck. She passed away May 14, 2009, after a brief illness. She was a resident of Shreveport, LA, a member of Willow Point Baptist Church and a homemaker. Mamaw was a very kind and loving Christian mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family who loved her dearly. She will be missed by all who knew her.

     She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Coy W. Reeves, her parents, and 3 sisters. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Vickie Bernatowicz and husband, Glenn; son, Rickie B. Reeves and wife, Donna; grandchildren, Jason and wife, Lori, Damon and wife, Erin, and Aaron Reeves, Chad, Jeremy and Megan Bernatowicz; special niece, Becky Rabb and husband, Jim.

    Pallbearers will be her grandsons, and James Hare.

Memorials may be made to Willow Point Baptist Church or to the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home.
