Funeral services celebrating the life of Frances Maurine Clark Lockwood, 92, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at Rose-Neath’s Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Steve Gilly. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday June 22nd at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lockwood was born on January 23, 1917, in Farmerville, LA, to Horace E. and Ida Clark. She passed away on June 18, 2009, in Shreveport where she resided. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Maurine was retired after 40 years of service with Bell South as an Operator Service Manager. Maurine was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed by all.
Preceding Maurine in death were her beloved husband, William H. Lockwood; her parents, and brother, Horace E. Clark, Jr. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Billy Rex Lockwood; grandchildren, Tera Elizabeth Lockwood, William Jake Lockwood and wife, Mindy; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Marie Lockwood, Colten Jake Lockwood, Dylan Oliver, Hunter and Garrett Slayton.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to her caregivers, Linda Washington and Betty Chitman.
Pallbearers will be Greg Frazier, Wade Strother, Donnie Jordan, Kevin Holland, Bobby Horton and Walter Brock.
