Funeral services celebrating the life of Doris K. Henderson, 85, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009, at Rose-Neath’s Southside Chapel. Officiating will be   Chaplain Larry Bass. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at the funeral home.

    Doris was born on March 15, 1924, in Suffolk, England to William and Agness Williams Pipe. She passed away on June 23, 2009. She was a resident of Shreveport and retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

    Preceding Doris in death were her parents, and her beloved husband, Harry T. Henderson, Jr.  Left to cherish her memory is her nephew, Robert Benard and wife, Dorothy, nieces, Dianna Gayle Woods and husband, Jim, and Janet Rose; great-nieces and great-nephews, Christopher Benard, Debra Cocksedge, Mitchell Woods, Jessica Jorgensen, and one great-great nephew, Maxwell Jorgenson.

    The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff of The Bradford and to Agapé Hospicecare of Shreveport.
