Funeral services for Mrs. Christine P. Redding, 88, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Chaplain Al Vandyke. Internment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 1, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Christine was born March 10, 1920 in Winnsboro, LA to Joseph C. and Verle Aldridge Polk. She passed away Saturday, August 30, 2008 in Shreveport. She was a RN and retired from Shriners and later worked for Live Oak Nursing Home.
Preceding her in death are husband, Bud Redding; son, Don Redding and sister, Mamie Lustburg. Left to cherish her memory are son, Kenny Redding and wife Sylvia; daughter-in-law, Janie Redding; sister, Erma Garcin; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild..
Pallbearers will be Ken Redding, Michael Redding, Mark Miller, Robert Gill, Morris Lustburg, Tommy Carney and Rikki Ehrharet.
