SHREVEPORT, LA – Mrs. Henry joined her Lord on August 27, 2008. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 28th, at Osborn Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August, 29, 2008, in the Chapel of Osborn Funeral Home. Reverend T. Floyd Davis, Jr. of Woodridge Baptist Church will officiate. Burial at Forest Park Cemetery will immediately follow the service.Mrs. Henry was born in Shreveport on December 20, 1920, and remained a lifetime resident. She married George Hilton Henry in 1941 and began a lifelong devotion to her beloved husband. Her greatest joy was family and with immeasurable grace and love, she dedicated her life to raising her four children. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother whose sunny disposition and sweet smile were an enduring presence. She brought happiness, comfort and warmth to the many people who loved her. Her boundless love and indomitable spirit will be remembered by all who knew her. Mrs. Henry was preceded in death by her husband George Hilton Henry, parents William and Lucille Marshall, twin sister Lucille Marshall Gatti, brother William Lee Marshall, Jr., granddaughter Loretta Michelle Henry and grandson Justin Lee Henry. She is survived by son Michael Lee Henry and wife Annette of Waskom, TX, son Andrew David Henry and wife Janice of Shreveport, LA, daughter Carol Jane Greening of Shreveport, LA and daughter Georganna Diane Gillean and husband Gary of Albuquerque, NM. She will be missed by 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and many friends and loved ones. Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Adair, Robert Alamond, Billy Bartlett, Mark Costenbader, Gabriel Greening and Matthew Henry. Honorary pallbearers are Brian Gillean, Randall Lee Henry, Robert Warner Henry, A.T. Bunn, Harlin Estes, Malcolm Foster, J.W. Mericle and Mark Pizzolato. The family would like to thank the staff of Cornerstone Hospital, Live Oak Retirement Community and Grace Home for their dedication and support.
