SHREVEPORT, LA - Carolyn Nalle passed away on August 10, 2008 in Shreveport, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.  There will be a memorial service held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon, August 23, 2008, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Shreveport where she attended for many years.

     Carolyn Nalle was born September 2, 1921 in Maplewood, New Jersey to James Ward and Frances Woolley.  She was the older of two children.  She married Dr. Brodie C. Nalle, Jr. and later moved to Shreveport and continued to live there for 45 years.  She was employed by the State of Louisiana until her retirement.

     She is survived by her two children, her son Brodie C. Nalle, III, of Shreveport and her daughter and her husband Lyn and David Burke of Beaumont, TX.  Her three grandchildren, David Paul Burke, Stephen W. Burke and Devin W. Nalle, also survive her.

     The family would like to thank Southern Oaks Nursing Home for the wonderful care they provided during her illness.
