Graveside services for Austin F. Core, 73, will be held at Forest Park West Cemetery Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be Bro. Darwin Hunter.  Visitation will be at Rose-Neath, Southside Tuesday, August 26, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

    Mr. Core was born on February 3, 1935 in Billsica, IA to Floyd and Mildred Core. He was a resident of Shreveport where he worked for A&P Grocery as a butcher. He was a member of Sunset Church of Christ. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

    His parents, and son, Tim Core preceded Mr. Core in death. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kathleen Core; granddaughter, Amy Sebale and husband Adam; great-granddaughters, Alayna and Amsley.
